These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of LedgerlyPlan (the "Service"), a free online expense tracker app available at ledgerlyplan.com. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Ledgerly lets you record income and expense entries, view monthly totals and category breakdowns, and export that data as CSV, Excel, or PDF files. All entries are stored locally in your browser; Ledgerly does not provide account creation, cloud sync, bank connections, or financial advice.

2. Not financial advice

Ledgerly is a record-keeping tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the Service constitutes investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for the financial decisions you make based on the information you track in the planner.

3. Your responsibility for your data

Because your budget entries are stored only in your browser's local storage, you are responsible for backing them up (for example, through the export tools) if you want to keep a permanent record or move your data to a different browser or device. We are not able to recover data that is lost due to clearing browser storage, browser updates, device loss, or similar events, because we never receive a copy of it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure;
• attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service for the purpose of creating a competing product;
• use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of others.

5. Intellectual property

The Ledgerly name, logo, and the design and code of the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for your own personal or business budgeting; you may not copy or redistribute the Service itself without permission.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that calculations will be free from bugs.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ledgerly and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ledgerly's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law.
